MBTA Bus Stop Relocation
Starting this weekend, the MBTA bus stop at Mass Ave @ Newbury Street (Hynes Convention Center) will be moved to a temporary bus stop one block south at the corner of Mass Ave and Boylston Street. The new shelter and temporary sidewalk are already installed, and MBTA signage will direct passengers to the temporary relocated stop throughout construction.

Work Hours
Typical work hours will be Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some night and weekend work is anticipated on the highway, in coordination with MassDOT.
Much of the work is weather-dependent and may need to be adjusted. Check back here every two weeks for the latest information.
Completed Work
Over the last two weeks, work in the highway began including removing the median and asphalt and installing temporary electric utilities. On site, initial construction activities continued, including installation of a temporary bus stop, soil testing and excavation, early foundation work, site grading, installation of barriers and lighting, and installing utility connections to the site from Boylston and Newbury Streets.
